Your role and impact
As a Lead Product Designer on the Guest Success team, you will drive the user experience vision and execution for product improvements that help guests have a delightful 5-star trip experience. Some of the product surfaces you might work on include helping guests quickly access contextual AI-driven support in our mobile apps, or building tools that help enable our support agents to deliver helpful solutions for our guests unique trip needs (as examples).Your role is central to Turo's mission, ensuring every product interaction is not just cohesive and high-quality but also supports our team's mission: Orchestrate a delightful Turo trip experience with intuitively helpful guest and agent software.As a key member of our Product Design team, you will directly report to the Director of Product Management in our Paris office, collaborating day-to-day with a group of skilled Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Data professionals, while receiving consistent strategic guidance and coaching from our Product Design Director based at our headquarters in San Francisco, CA, further honing your design craft and expertise.

What you will do
- Design Execution: Own the user experience for your projects end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, running design workshops, and crafting north star vision work. Create, and iterate on IA, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals across iOS, Android, and Web.
- Strategic planning and collaboration: Collaborate closely with peers across product design, product and engineering as a key stakeholder in our roadmap planning cycle.
- Lead by example: Operate with autonomy and drive design in partnership with many stakeholders across the global Turo business.
- Design Impact: Steer your team towards solutions that intuitively meet customer needs and achieve successful business outcomes, informed by robust user research and data analytics.
- Design Systems: Contribute to and enhance our design system and tools, boosting efficiency, creativity, and consistency across the team.
- Design Vision: Partner with design and product teams to deliver innovative ‘north star’ designs that deliver new value and drive Turo forward, embodying our commitment to redefining the car-sharing experience through design.
Your profile
- Bi-lingual in English and French as this role will work closely with the Paris product and engineering team
- 10 or more years of experience launching high impact, high quality design work
- 5 or more years in designing mobile products that have been successfully shipped to the public, demonstrating deep expertise in native mobile design.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing your work and process. This should include examples of design work you're most proud of and detailed narratives of how your design contributions led to quantifiable business and user experience improvements, and end-to-end product flows that demonstrate a holistic user experience understanding.
- Track record of leveraging qualitative and quantitative data, using these insights to develop strong design hypotheses and inform strategic design direction.
- A strong commitment to a user-centered approach in designing software, focusing on understanding and meeting customers' real needs.
- Demonstrated experience in working cross-functionally to drive design strategy, vision, and execution, effectively collaborating with teams across product, engineering, and data.
- A collaborative, low-ego approach to working with others, valuing teamwork and collective problem-solving.
- Ability to travel to the U.S. for team and company events as needed.
