Job Description
DevRev’s Knowledge team is looking for a technical writer who has strong technical proficiency and who strives for simplicity.The Technical Writer is responsible for ensuring that the documentation for our product and company is useful, findable, clear, correct, comprehensive, and consistent.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product, customer success/support, engineering, design, and growth teams on content that will drive organic discovery and drive user adoption and engagement. Our content touches our leads and users across different surfaces, on the website and product. Candidate will have these core responsibilities:
- Write, review, publish, and sustain product content, including product documentation on docs.devrev.ai, APIs on developer.devrev.ai, ecosystem apps on devrev.ai/marketplace, and UI copy in the product.
- Create user-centric content that drives customer acquisition, adoption, and success.
- Be in lockstep with product updates, closely tying with our code workflows.
- Understand the technology and teams that make up our product and company.
- Respond to the behavior and needs of customers and customer-facing teams.
Qualifications
- Experience planning, researching, writing, and editing software user documentation and UI copy in an agile and docs-like-code environment, preferably in a startup or other small organization.
- Excellent skills in grammar, essentialist documentation design, and effective information architecture.
- Highly organized and able to triage and prioritize numerous issues and projects, and organize content in a manner that can be scaled.
- Able to succeed in a globally-distributed environment.
- Share our core values.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Markdown and Git, knowledge base management tools, or other content management environments.
- Experience working with API documentation.
