THE OPPORTUNITY: Technical Project Manager (Contract)

Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports remote work for eligible roles. We ask that all employees travel to either office once a quarter. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Birdy Grey is looking for a Technical Project Manager (Contract) for up to 1 year

This is a highly cross-functional role working on a new, greenfield initiative, helping to lead the reimagining of our Tech architecture. You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with Engineering, Product Design and Product Management.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Agile ceremonies and help the engineering team organize and prioritize the backlog
- Assign tasks and manage workloads
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders
- Ensure stakeholder requirements are documented and planned for testing
- Facilitate QA across various dimensions (visual, functional, data, operational)
- Coordinate with vendors and SaaS partners where needed
- Support Web Operations team and facilitate communication between Engineering and Web Operations for migration and implementation of CMS content
- Present status updates weekly/bi-weekly to stakeholders
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:
QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years as a Technical Project Manager, Product Manager, or Technical Program Manager
- Experience running agile ceremonies and facilitating the estimation and prioritization of engineering work
- Understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs; ability to read and understand technical documentation
- Strong understanding of e-commerce and modern web design and technologies
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and great attention to detail, ability to communicate seamlessly and effectively with all levels of the organization
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with headless CMS or headless e-commerce
- Familiarity with javascript
- Start-up experience
- Interest in weddings and fashion
