DESCRIPTION
Pontera is looking for an exceptional sales leader to manage a team of 5-10 Partner Engagement Managers. You will be responsible for day-to-day hiring, training, coaching & general oversight of direct reports and you will be reporting to our Director of Partner Engagement. You will be leading a team that is responsible for engaging with our partners to directly drive net new revenue on the Pontera platform. This is a highly cross-functional role and we are looking for someone who can both effectively lead their own team day-to-day and also collaborate heavily with your Director and other team leaders to improve processes to create business efficiency for the team.
Given our unique platform and business model, you will be leading much more than a traditional technology company sales or account management team. The Partner Engagement team plays a critical role in our partners’ paths to successful adoption of the Pontera platform for their businesses. Your team will have the hybrid duty of driving near-term revenue by guiding new partners through the initial phase of platform adoption while also developing roadmaps for consistent, long-term partner growth strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hiring & training: grow and maintain headcount to ensure that your team operating at full capacity
- Coaching & Mentoring: hands-on development of your team’s skills through various 1:1s, coaching sessions and ad-hoc best practices
- Hold your team accountable to high standards of professional habits that lead to superior performance
- Driving your team to hit quarterly targets through positive and motivational feedback
- Execute strategic projects with guidance from director and to continuously improve our partner engagement processes
- Collaborate with Director on tactical initiatives to overcome sales challenges and better understand & leverage partner feedback
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of success leading a team of at least 5 salespeople or account managers at a technology, fintech or financial services company
- Experience implementing consultative selling techniques and leveling-up underperforming team members
- Basic understanding of the financial services & wealth management industry
- Superlative presentation, demonstration and verbal & written communication skills
- Technical and operational acumen, preferably with wealthtech software and Salesforce
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with track record of problem solving and bringing proactive solutions to drive team & company performance
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional self-improvement, namely in the area of sales or leadership
- Bachelor’s degree

- Compensation: Base Salary $110,000 - $120,000 / OTE $150,000 - $160,000
