The Opportunity:


Join our dynamic product team at the heart of managing the B2C and B2B launchpads as a Senior UX/UI Designer! You'll play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience for our business users, contributing to our mission of delivering intuitive, new features. As a key member of our team, you will have the autonomy to navigate the full spectrum of the design process within our customer domain – from conducting initial discovery research to crafting the final launchpad design.Your work will directly impact two core assets of the commercetools Frontend, vital to bringing our entire portfolio to life:

  • B2C Store for retail: As our pre-configured, turnkey storefront solution, B2C Store for retail exemplifies our capability to provide robust, user-friendly online shopping experiences. It's engineered to offer a seamless, superior B2C shopping journey, showcasing the effectiveness of our frontend technology.
  • B2B Manufacturing Store: Tailored specifically for B2B e-commerce, our B2B Manufacturing Store presents a specialized, ready-to-integrate starter kit. This kit is fortified with the latest B2B functionalities derived from Composable Commerce, designed to streamline B2B e-commerce operations.

Your Mission:


  • Represent our customer needs within a cross-functional team, with an ability to articulate and lead design decisions with the team and stakeholders
  • Conduct discovery research together with your entire cross-functional team selecting the scope
  • Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to solve our customers' and end-users’ problems
  • Plan and conduct user research studies (workshops, interviews, surveys, or usability testing sessions), defining and documenting research goals
  • Create personas, user flows, wireframes, sketches, and/or prototypes to communicate your design proposals with the team
  • Experience with design systems, design and create pixel-perfect User Interfaces
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality of our design solutions to build visually appealing and cutting-edge designs that set new standards

What you need to succeed:


  • 3+ years of experience conducting research studies, applying User Experience design methods and techniques, and delivering User Interfaces
  • Good understanding of conducting user research and flexibility in applying User Experience processes that encompass all aspects of the User Experience cycle
  • Experience in B2B, enterprise software design, or any other SaaS application for e-commerce
  • Strong ability to convert the user’s needs to visual interfaces, applying ourdesign system and patterns
  • Proficiency in prototype tools such as Figma
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently by organizing and prioritizing your workload

Nice to have:


  • Degree in Design, Interactive Media, HCI, any User Experience-related studies, or any applicable professional experience
  • UX writing skills
