Because creating a better, brighter future for the next generation depends on it.We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Engineer with expertise in Developer Experience and/or Platform Engineering teams. In this role, you will be responsible for Greenlight’s end to end Developer Platform for Mobile and Backend, including CI/CD pipeline, release management, local development, library and version management.
In addition we are seeking experience in building and implementing developer productivity tools serving large engineering organisations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality mobile app development, releases and gather input on developer needs pertaining to their day to day activities.
Technology need:
- Backend: Kotlin, TypeScript/Node.js
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
- Kubernetes, Ambassador, Helm
- Github Actions (or other CI experience i.e CircleCI, Jenkins, TravisCI)
- Continuous Delivery (ArgoCD or equivalent)
- Library development experience
What you will be doing:
- Technical Excellence: Take charge of Greenlight’s Developer Platform, enable high developer productivity and code releases across all engineering teams, influence change and drive critical metrics towards efficient releases. Build systems, tools and processes to enable high performance code delivery from developer to production.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering managers, quality engineers, platform and other engineering teams to understand requirements and design solutions that meet developer and business needs. Communicate technical decisions and strategies effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve our platform's capabilities.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Participate in the recruitment process by identifying and interviewing potential candidates. Help grow the team with top-tier engineering talent.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of technical experience with Developer Platform tools and systems in addition to strong developer enablement and development tooling experience.
- Proficiency in Cloud technology and industry leading developer tools.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD pipeline including backend release patterns and tools.
- Ability to influence large engineering teams and align around Mobile development and release practices.
- Experience providing mentorship and technical guidance to team members in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong customer mindset and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet business outcomes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound and oftentimes innovative technical decisions.
Preferred qualifications: Industry knowledge and proficiency in the global mobile ecosystem including expert knowledge of iOS and Android App Store release process and applicable tools.
