About the role
As a Tax Manager, you will work independently and autonomously, overseeing global tax compliance, with a primary focus on the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and the USA. You will ensure adherence to tax regulations across these jurisdictions and play a crucial role in integrating tax processes into our new ERP system and tax support in other projects (e.g. ongoing restructuring). In this role you will report directly to the Head of Global Accounting and Finance Operations. If you love building things, making an impact, and owning processes, this role is perfect for you!
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure global tax compliance in primary the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and the USA, if needed, in cooperation with external tax consultants.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support compliance and strategic planning.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Integrate tax processes and requirements into the new ERP system, ensuring seamless alignment with overall business operations.
- Provide tax-related support and insights during ongoing corporate restructuring efforts.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Assist in managing tax audits and disputes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- 3-9 years of relevant experience in tax, preferably in the e-commerce space or consumer goods.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in tax, accounting, finance, or related field
- Ability to work in a distributed team.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is a big plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Professional Tax Qualification is preferred.
- Fluent in English (company language).
