We are looking for an HR Generalist / Junior HR Business Partner to drive and deliver the execution of our People strategy and agenda - attracting and growing talent, building on our culture and values and designing and implementing fit-for-purpose policies, procedures and practices for our UK team.
As the Regional People Partner UK you will provide local expertise on HR related matters and programs while advocating for employees and upholding the company's goals and policies across our UK offices. You will work alongside people operations, talent, learning & diversity teams as well as our business stakeholders to support a seamless, engaging and enjoyable employee experience, leading to engagement throughout the employee lifecycle, demonstrated performance and individual and team growth.
Predominately office based role in London.
This is a permanent part time role equivalent to 3 days per week. We are flexible on days / hours per week but the ability to connect with our people team members in Australia and the US regularly is required.
Generalist People Activities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of fit for purpose and future-fit HR policies, processes, workflows, tools and development programs to drive workforce performance, business efficiency and transparency.
- Through a full understanding of policies, employment law and regulatory requirements, ensure that appropriate people practices are in place and followed by the business including performance reviews, performance management, leave management, personal wellbeing support and employment relations matters.
- Contribute to the development of global people initiatives, and own the full implementation and successful delivery of these in the UK market. You will focus on the full employee lifecycle, activities and strategies for our team of c.20 people in the UK market.
Talent Acquisition
- In partnership with the Talent Acquisition team, you will lead and own the full-cycle of corporate recruiting for the US from job creation through to onboarding.
- Take ownership for employee onboarding from point of offer, background checks and set up, ensuring operational excellence, thorough and engaging communication, and a warm professional welcome is offered to every new employee.
Learning & Diversity
- As required, champion and facilitate learning content for the development of our team.
- Maintain compliance training for UK market.
- Contribute to our diversity initiatives, bringing ideas and feedback relevant to the UK market.
Operations
- Own the maintenance and administration for UK benefit platforms i.e Yulife & Vitality, including consistently audit and update information within our HRIS systems.
- Management of termination and off-boarding activities.
- Maintain HR metrics, reporting, analytics and insights to support data-driven people decisions
- Other ad hoc HR-related duties/projects.
What are we looking for?
- Proven HR experience across the employee lifecycle in a commercial, fast growth environment. Technology/Fintech or Retail experience would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices/processes.
- Experience and enjoyment in being hands-on to deliver the operational excellence.
- Customer-focused team player, used to proactively engaging with the team, proud of the work you do, with a strong attention to detail.
- Can-do attitude, loads of energy, naturally and proactively identifying challenges as well as developing and delivering solutions of value.
- Experience within a global matrix environment with a track record of building relationships to influence great business outcomes.
