Small Girls PR's DEI Committee would love to host a first-generation college student or a student representing a diverse community at the sophomore or junior level (2026 or 2027 grad) in our LA and NY offices to shadow the agency for a day and get a true glimpse of the day-to-day in PR.
PROGRAM DETAILS INCLUDE:
- One day of shadowing integrated with our incoming fellowship class in July or August
- PR 101 presentation from a member of the agency
- Resume review session with Chelsea Addy, Director of Talent Acquisition at SGPR
- Lunch stipend to discuss career paths and the PR industry with a mid-level employee
- Hands-on training via an SGPR U on entry-level fundamentals like media list building, media monitoring, brainstorming, etc.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:
- Sign an NDA to cover confidentiality
- Rising Sophomore or Rising Junior (2026 or 2027 graduate)
- First-generation college student or student representing a diverse community
- Submission of resume and recommendation letter from a professor (please submit as your cover letter)
- Personal laptop to participate both virtually and in-person
Available in-office on a Tuesday in July or August 2024 (date to be determined with the team)
- No prior PR experience necessary. Open to all majors. Just come with a desire to learn more about PR!
