What are you going to do?
Our client knows that healthcare is complicated and falls short of what consumers deserve. They want to change that by focusing on transforming a critical and underserved part of the healthcare ecosystem– provider networks.As individuals, it’s difficult to find the right doctor that meets our medical and personal needs, at affordable costs. Doing their best with unreliable data and disjointed manual processes, healthcare organizations struggle with this too as they decide which doctors should be included in-network on our health insurance plans.Our client brings together best in class data and purpose built software to enable healthcare organizations to optimize provider network performance.
We use our technology to power healthcare’s best networks and deliver highest value care to patients.This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering. The selected candidate will significantly influence the software we develop and the architectural decisions we make as we deliver innovative, data-centric products to our clients.
- Collaborate with other engineers and product managers to optimize customer provider networks.
- Make impactful decisions on the development of high-quality, maintainable software by applying industry best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement within the team.
- Work closely with the data science team to curate detailed and accurate datasets of doctors and their affiliations.
What will help you succeed
- Significant experience in Python, Django, and React.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and valuing automated testing and robust testing practices.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
- Comfort with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and engineering practices (e.g., CI/CD, test-driven development, pair programming).
- Ability to approach problems thoughtfully, emphasizing simplicity in solutions and clarity in technical decision-making and trade-offs.
