What We're Looking For
Stytch is the platform for user authentication. We create products that make interacting with authentication a delightful experience, both for developers and for customers. This role will be responsible for the key touchpoints of developer education at Stytch – documentation and example apps. This includes:
Researching and defining language/framework investment areas
Writing guides, references, and resources, complete with diagrams and realistic code examples in all major supported languages/frameworks
Writing example apps to demonstrate how to integrate Stytch across a wide range of frameworks and stacks
Ensuring consistency of structure, voice, and terminology across all of our documentation
The ideal candidate has a strong intuition for how to explain complex technical concepts, and enjoys executing on the example code, diagrams and written content to help others learn. If you’re comfortable across the stack, enjoy learning new concepts and frameworks, and are an excellent technical writer we’d love to chat!
What Excites You
Ramping up on a wide range of languages/frameworks and tools
Figuring out how to explain a new technical concept, using the right combo of code, text and visual components to get through to your audience
Building out content for everything from quickstart guides, to complex architecture diagrams
Collaborating with product, engineering and design on defining and improving the developer activation journey
What Excites Us
3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
Excellent technical writing and diagramming skills
Comfort with ambiguity
Strong sense of ownership and pride in the work you produce
What Success Looks Like
Craft — guide developers through every stage of their education about Stytch, helping to make Stytch’s value proposition come to life through examples and resources
Ownership — end-to-end ownership of the full developer education surface area, with table stakes coverage on docs and example apps – but the opportunity to expand into other mediums as you see fit
Leadership — advocating for investments in various frameworks, identifying friction points in the product
Expected base salary $150,000 - $190,000. The anticipated base salary range is not inclusive of full benefits including equity, health care insurance, time off, paid parental leave, etc. This base salary is accurate based on information at the time of posting.
