The primary objective of a Blend Sales Engineer is to support the sales team as the Subject Matter Expert of the Blend mortgage and consumer banking product suite. As a Sales Engineer, you will be helping to maintain our various demonstration environments, delivering live environment demonstrations to our prospects and clients, and supporting the integration and technical solutioning requirements associated with winning new business.To be successful in this position you must be a high energy individual that is driven to perform above expectations. You must demonstrate your prior successful complex software management and delivery, show a solution selling capability, command superb communication skills and sell with integrity.
A mortgage background is a plus. The Sales Engineer will work primarily remote with travel around ~30-40%. Our goal is to ensure a solid understanding of our prospective clients’ business requirements and help drive new sales of Blend products and services through product expertise and technical subject matter expertise.
How you'll contribute:
- Provides subject matter expertise for the Sales Organization to plan and execute appropriate system demonstrations that highlight relevant business functionality, requirements, and industry standards
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of demonstration environments. In addition, when required to support unique sales opportunities, provides analysis, definition and execution of specific workflow configuration, including, where appropriate, coordination of development activities
- Provide functional content for RFPs as needed
- Work cross-functionally with product and development teams to diagnose/resolve system issues/bugs/defects and enhance overall solution
- Continually work to enhance and strengthen our demonstration capabilities
- Draft content in documentation in support of the overall solution delivery including powerpoint content, workflow diagrams, architectural diagrams, and recorded content

Software Specific
- Consistent track record of success managing and configuring software applications
- Ability to communicate with senior level management, to explain complex processes and to demonstrate Internet services over the phone
- Deliver high caliber demonstrations and presentations of the software suite via the web
- Direct E-mail – provide prospects with service information to cultivate relationships
- High level of familiarity with SaaS applications, management and delivery via AWS hosted services
- Leverage internal sales tools for opportunity management and advancement

- Minimum 4 years complex technology sales/delivery
- Experience with SaaS software configuration, delivery, implementation
- Experience with database and scripting languages including SQL, json, Apache Velocity.

To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.For full time hires, the hiring compensation range (OTE = Base + Variable at 75/25 split) for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000. Blend benefits and perks are described below. Final pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Base pay will be adjusted for part-time roles to reflect scheduled hours.
