The Opportunity:


You will be responsible for selling commercetools’ portfolio of products to named accounts across key verticals, working closely with current and prospective customers as a trusted advisor to deeply understand their commerce challenges and goals.  You will consult and educate customers on a new approach for building a better commerce experience while contributing to our business growth in a dynamic, collaborative, and fun environment.

Your Mission:


  • Communicate the value of commercetools' solutions to C-level executives and other senior enterprise decision-makers.
  • Demonstrate an outbound mindset approaching named accounts from multiple angles including directly and via partners.
  • Conduct discovery and execute on the sales process to uncover the needs of large, enterprise companies.
  • Develop a strategic plan for your territory to meet monthly, quarterly and annual bookings and revenue objectives.
  • Timely and accurate updating of Salesforce.com CRM, forecasts, and pipeline data to ensure the generation of accurate territory and management reports.
  • Create, manage, and close a strong pipeline of opportunities in the designated named accounts
  • Work collaboratively with Partner Management, Customer Success and Marketing to ensure successful sales outcomes.

What you need to succeed:


  • 5+ years of successful experience selling enterprise solutions.
  • Solid understanding of the digital commerce landscape including competition such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, self-built solutions, etc.
  • Proven experience of selling complex solutions in a highly disruptive replacement market.
  • Proven ability to sell collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders and teams.
  • A data-driven approach to decision-making; experience using Salesforce CRM to manage the book of business.
  • Experience of Command of the Message and MEDDPICC methodologies.
  • Have excellent communication (interpersonal and presentation) and closing skills, and have successfully applied these in previous sales roles.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail 
  • Can develop and understand complex business processes/business models
  • Able to create an emphatic and meaningful relationship with key stakeholders (internal, partners, customers, prospects, etc.) both in-person and remotely.
  • A self-starter, independent, team-oriented and has a structured way of working.
  • Good understanding of sales performance metrics and must be driven with an extreme sense of urgency to deliver.
