The Full Stack Engineer will work with product owners across Nym developing new Windows applications and cutting edge privacy tools.
Full Stack Engineer
In the first month you might be:
- Developing, maintaining, and optimising the NymVPN Windows app and its components, including Windows Services, ensuring efficient operation and user experience
- Integrate and maintain communication between Windows Services and the Rust crate, interfacing with WinTUN.DLL and managing IPC for robust app functionality.
- Enhance the NymVPN app UI, focusing on start-up processes, user-level interactions, and seamless RPC communication with Windows Services.
- Create and update a secure, user-friendly Windows Installer using Tauri WIX, handling app and service installations plus shortcut management.
- Collaborate across teams, contribute to the entire development lifecycle, and maintain expertise in network interface management on Windows, particularly for VPN products, ensuring the app's competitiveness and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Utilize the Windows SDK for application development.
- Develop and maintain .NET Framework applications.
- Create and manage Windows installers using WiX or NSIS.
- Utilize Windows 10/11 experience for application development and troubleshooting.
- Implement CI pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab pipelines.
- Manage the process of signing Windows applications.
What you bring to the team:
- Professional experience building Windows applications.
- Exposure to .Net, Go, PHP, C#, Rust, Ruby.
- GraphQL API development experience such as using ApolloJS.
- Are a “hands-on” self-starter.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Professional Blockchain / Rust experience a bonus.
