What we are looking for
We are seeking a skilled and experienced GCP Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a GCP Cloud/DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. You will play a key role in automating our deployment processes, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions. The most important part of the role is to understand and document the current infrastructure, import it as IaaC, and ensure all best security practices are enabled.
You will:
• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools native GCP tools to automate deployment, configuration, and orchestration processes.• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, testing, and deployment processes.• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure and applications.• Implement security best practices and compliance policies on GCP infrastructure.
Monitor, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and risks.• Identify and implement optimizations to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of cloud infrastructure and applications.• Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production environments.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, and system administrators to design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions. Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
We are looking for someone who has:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and best practices.• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Javascript, Bash, or equivalent.• Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub CI/CD, Deployment Manager or equivalent.• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent.• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
Must have experience with designing isolated networks and VPCs.• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana, or equivalent.• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
