Introduction


Our client in Bergen County, NJ seeks a strategic and hands-on Talent Acquisition Manager to lead their recruiting group. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining their recruitment processes, sourcing high-quality candidates, and ensuring they are competitive in a tight labor market. The Talent Acquisitions Manager will collaborate closely with various department heads and play a crucial role in fulfilling their staffing needs, particularly in hiring Behavioral Therapists (BT) and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).

The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented team player with experience in tactical and strategic recruiting. This position is expected to be hybrid with 3-4 days in their office.

About the role


Critical parts of the job

  • Constantly evaluate current recruiting procedures to determine whether they can be modified for increased efficiency and effectiveness. Update recruiting procedures or create new procedures as necessary.
  • Supervise and provide overall guidance to the recruitment team.
  • Evaluate the performance of the recruitment team to ensure their success in achieving established recruiting goals.
  • Communicate with company department heads and senior leadership to establish recruiting goals and anticipate and plan for future recruitment needs.
  • Serve as the company’s recruiting Subject Matter Expert (SME).

This Position will be focused on:

Being a Builder


- You will be a builder of the recruiting process and supporting technology that will be instrumental in the organization achieving its growth goals. You will work with the team to develop ways to source candidates to fill their open needs.

Being a Mentor


- You will be a player/coach, acting as a guide and mentor to the recruiting team as they grow to meet the hiring demands of the organization. This means carrying a requisition load based on demand.

Being an Expert


- You will be the recruiting subject matter expert (SME) for the company and consult with the organization on recruiting. There are some big problems to solve. You will have an opportunity to use your whole brain.

  • A genuine desire to learn, grow, make mistakes, and challenge the status quo of recruiting and hiring people in their organization.

Qualifications

  • High school degree, or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional-level recruiting experience with a focus on healthcare or behavioral services in high-volume recruiting environments is necessary.
  • Previous experience supervising and/or leading recruiters is required.
  • A solid foundation and knowledge of labor legislation and HR practices are necessary.
  • A solid understanding of and previous experience with using and managing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is required. Additional experience in migrating or implementing ATSs is helpful.

The Nice To Haves

  • A high level of computer proficiency and a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
