Summary
Smarsh is seeking a Sr. Payroll Analyst to join the Smarsh Finance team. You'll have the opportunity to lead projects, inspire team members and help drive all US payroll operations for a 1000+ person organization. You will also help ensure the accuracy of payroll tax requirements and laws applicable to required reporting. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, with the ability to quickly switch from one task to another. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
How will you contribute?
- Ability to lead projects, inspire team members and drive US payroll operations
- Experience with Payroll Implementation in a multi-national environment
- Partner with Payroll Manager to drive audit requirements
- Meet current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
- Guarantee timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
- Conduct pre and post payroll audits on payroll records to ensure accuracy of pay cycle
- Analyze pay practices related to fringe benefit reporting and other payroll areas and determine how those practices apply to advise management
- Lead regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
- Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses
- Develop cross-functional collaboration with Human Resources, Accounting & Finance teams
What will you bring?
- 5+ years’ experience in payroll administration
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting
- Experience with multi-national payroll
- Experience with garnishments, support orders and tax levies preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external business partners
$70,000 - $100,000 a yearThe above salary range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process. The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training.
