Position Summary
We are looking for a Sr. UX Designer to help us define, design and deliver product solutions that solve complex customer problems through a user centered design process. Reporting to the Director UX, this role will work closely with Product, Engineering and Sales to design end to end user experiences that meet the needs of users, reflect the business strategy and amplify our technology. This position will lead the design lifecycle and process for a product segment, working closely with other designers & researchers to build intuitive world class product experiences through a customer first, collaborative and innovative process.
This role will span the entire design lifecycle including research, visual design, interaction design, content design and user analytics. Passion for digging into the details, clarifying the complex, taking initiative and working collaboratively are foundational aspects of this role. Key Accountabilities
- Work with customers and key stakeholders to define problems & opportunity areas, and clearly communicate these to drive alignment and understanding within the business.
- Work within each stage of the design lifecycle and deliver impactful and meaningful design artifacts that demonstrate your expert understanding of the problem space, customer needs and user experience principles.
- Create workflow sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design direction and drive alignment. Iterate on these with design, product and development peers.
- Identify and search out key insights and information to help inform design decisions and solve problems.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to design ongoing discovery activities that inform product and experience roadmaps.
- Define key user metrics & research methods to measure product usage, satisfaction and improvement areas.
- Lead design thinking and workshop activities as part of the design process.
- Support the ongoing evolution of our design system, including design guidelines, component design and documentation
Skills/Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in a design related program
- 7+ years experience with demonstrated ability to take projects from requirements to in-market experiences.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of projects, artifacts and detailed approach to user centered design.
- Experience designing and integrating hardware and software into cohesive experiences
- Experienced story teller, with the ability to articulate problems and communicate internally and externally on the role of UX design and your design work.
- Expertise in design tools and platforms (Figma, Adobe Suite, Pendo, Miro, etc)
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders (product, development, sales, support) from definition through to delivery and own decision making for your work.
- Proactive, organized, detail-oriented and a great communicator.
- Understanding of key user research methods and ability to jump into research projects when required
