SCHEDULE:
- Summer Session: Monday - Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM
- Fall & Spring Semester: Tuesday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM & Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Additional hours depend on the department's annual events and will be coordinated ahead of time
OVERVIEW:
Providing daily support in the administrative aspects of the operations as outlined below, with an emphasis on handling general inquiries, event coordination, and equipment inventory.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for handling all general inquiries to the department, acting as the initial contact, and providing general reception both in person and online
- Assist with event coordination all year round, including but not limited to screenings, artist talks, exhibitions, annual admissions events, and others
- Maintain and update the databases including the departmental mailing list, equipment system, thesis archive, and talent directory
- Oversee the departmental inventory including equipment, office supplies, promotional materials
- Provide support in administrative operations, including external communication, social media, newsletter, festival program, guest lecturers, and check requests
- Assist with projects that have design elements to maintain the branding of the college as well as the department
- May be required to attend animation-related conferences, events, and festivals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Superior written and oral communication skills are required. Diplomacy and professionalism in working with individuals both in person and online
- Strong organization skills; detail-oriented; ability to work independently and maintain focus while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to interact with all levels of administrative staff, faculty, students, visitors, and prospective students
- Excellent computer skills are required to manage calendars, contact information, mailing lists, and e-mail accounts
- Experience with Adobe Suites and Google Suites
- Skills in graphic design preferred
