You will also assist in defining our product requirements and support processes related to interfaces, and serve as a subject matter expert within the company and to your assigned customers.Key ResponsibilitiesAs LIS Interface Engineer, your responsibilities are:Software Development Lifecycle Responsibilities

  • Work with product managers and developers to define and review interface-related requirements
  • Provide content and outlines for interface-related product documentation
  • Work with QA in developing realistic interface test cases
  • Provide interface-related training to QA and Customer Service Engineers.

Implementation Responsibilities

  • Evaluate information about client information systems that may need to interface with the Concentriq image management system, including anatomic pathology laboratory information systems (AP-LIS), interface engines, or other middleware.
  • Implement integration solution utilizing documented product procedures, as well as skills and knowledge of industry best-practices.
  • Work with Implementation Project Manager to establish project interface milestones
  • Manage interface components of the project plan and ensure timelines are met
  • Resolve complex customer issues in creative and effective ways using IT concepts and/or business unit objectives
  • Educate customer on Proscia’s interface implementation process, including the integration framework, and specification review
  • Educate customer on application and interface support
  • Assist customers with HL7 message review and initial testing
  • Assist with development and revision of content for interface implementation methodology and supporting materials

  • Provide second-level support for complex interface-related issues.
  • Document customer configuration accurately to facilitate timely transition to Support
  • Participate in Customer Success project meetings, providing status updates and escalating issues
  • Provide feedback to continually improve processes
  • Effective teamwork and communication internally and externally. Facilitates/leads detailed planning with customer IT staff and deliver technical briefings to the customer

What are we seekingTo a successful LIS Interface Engineer you will have the following:

  • At least 3 years of interface implementation and product development experience within a healthcare information systems vendor or provider environment
  • Working knowledge of HL7 standard and application of the standard to a variety of ADT, Order, and Results interface integrations
  • Business or technical presentation or teaching experience
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an active, engaged team member
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with executive, technical and non-technical individuals within and outside of Proscia
  • Project management experience highly desirable
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Iguana or similar interface engine (ex. Mirth Connect)
  • Ability to travel (approximately 10-20%) across the US and abroad
  • Familiarity with Rest API is a must
