eIn-Shop Techis a key role within the company. This position has primary responsibility for the organization, maintenance, and monitoring of the Configuration Area in the office, as well as tasks related to staging equipment prior to delivery to client’s site. This role also has responsibility for assisting Field staff with on-site client work as needed and supplements the Shipping & Receiving role in each market. Essential Duties:
- Maintain the Configuration Area, including general organization, cleanliness, and equipment storage
- Oversee all items in the Configuration Area, including knowledge of where equipment is located by client and what client/project/service task/technician is located at each workstation in the Area
- Manage the open workstations within the Configuration Area, including workstation space assignments, length of time the space is needed/reserved, equipment is properly stored, documentation is kept with equipment and client, project/service ticket, and assigned tech are identified
- Review old equipment for possible salvage; organization of all salvage equipment kept on-hand
- Properly dispose of old equipment not used for salvage
- Monitor the In-Shop Board in ConnectWise to ensure that tickets on the Board are worked timely
- Assist with break/fix tickets
- Process unbricks for new PC’s, including imaging when applicable
- Physical processing of all received product after check-in by Shipping & Receiving, including labeling, organizing collectively by client/project, and verifying complete and correct paperwork is kept with product(s)
- Assist Field technicians on-site at client locations as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Service Manager or market leadership
Documentation and Reporting Functions
- Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities as requested
- Recommend areas of improvement within the role and responsibilities as experience is gained
- Document time worked in the Configuration Area as Internal Technical and provide thorough notes for time entries

Education And / Or Experience
- College or Technical degree preferred
- OR One (1) year of IT support experience
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally
- Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone
- Occasionally needs to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
