We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.This role is based remotely in the U.S. with an opportunity to work from our office in NYC. You will report to the VP of Finance.Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the external accounting team
  • Ensure accurate and timely bank reconciliations, promptly resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of financial data, identifying trends and variances
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and budgeting
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Complete the required tax forms
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during the fiscal year auditing process
  • Facilitate the auditing process, providing necessary documentation and explanations

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Senior Accountant
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP
  • Proven experience in coordinating and liaising with external auditors during the fiscal year auditing process
  • Experience in consolidating financial statements with multiple entities and subsidiaries operating with a foreign currency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Above all else, you are bright, kind, and motivated by challenges
