About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Enterprise Account Executive with a proven track record in enterprise sales, particularly in the domain of natural language processing (NLP) solutions delivered via API. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of NLP technology and its applications across various industries. They will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and cultivating relationships with enterprise clients, understanding their unique needs, and effectively positioning our NLP API solutions to address those needs.
This is a remote position but requires a candidate be local to either our Reston, VA or Boston, MA location.
What you will do
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets, focusing on enterprise clients in target industries.
- Prospect, develop, and nurture sales opportunities within your portfolio.
- Understand and articulate the use cases facing our customers.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments with prospects to understand their business challenges and objectives, and position our NLP API solutions as tailored solutions to address those needs.
- Solution Presentation and Demonstration: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of our NLP API solutions, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within enterprise client organizations, including executives, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, working closely with legal and finance teams to ensure favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
- Overcome Objections: Respond to Customer inquiries and resolve objections to get customers to a positive purchasing decision.
- Close Sales.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation and ongoing support.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to NLP technology and API solutions, providing insights and recommendations to inform sales strategy.
What you will bring to Babel Street
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record of success in enterprise sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role.
- Demonstrated experience selling technology solutions, preferably API-based solutions and/or NLP technology.
- Strong understanding of NLP technology and its applications across industries, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Public Sector Sales experience a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels of an organization.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional customer value.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
