Video Production Manager
Location: Columbus, OH

OVERVIEW


As a Video Producer at Orange Barrel Media, you will play a pivotal role in the production of engaging video content, with a focus on expanding materials for existing and new markets. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire video production process from conception to completion which includes closely collaborating with our motion graphics designers. You’ll ensure that each project meets our high standards of quality and creativity as the quality of OBM and IKE's videography is a brand differentiator.

The output of video is critical to the company's ability to secure revenue and plays a primary role in all OBM and IKE marketing materials.

WHAT YOU’LL DO


  • Production Vision: Collaborate with our creative directors, motion graphics designers, sales and development teams to concept and strategize for video projects that align with OBM and IKE's brand identity and marketing objectives. Ideally, bringing experience with quick storyboarding for clear presentation to internal team and videographers.
  • Project Management: Lead kick-off meetings for each video project, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders and setting clear objectives and timelines. Manage the entire production process, from scriptwriting and pre-production to post-production and final delivery.
  • Production Planning: Coordinate all aspects of production, including location scouting, permitting (as needed), casting, crew hiring, equipment rental, and scheduling. Ensure that all logistical and technical requirements are met for successful shoot execution.
  • Shooting Supervision: As needed, oversee on-location shoots, providing direction to crew members and ensuring that the creative vision is realized. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during filming and make real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Post-Production: Collaborate with our motion graphics designers to review footage, provide feedback, and guide the editing process. Ensure that the final video product meets OBM and IKE's quality standards and aligns with the project's objectives. Also, ensure footage is stored appropriately and what is needed is loaded into the DAM to continue to build out our video library.
  • Videographer Network: Source, onboard, and maintain a network of freelance videographers that will be utilized in shooting new videos within our existing and new markets.

  • Able to advise on the best application of a wide range of photography and videography equipment and techniques to achieve different objectives
  • A confident communicator who is as comfortable in collaborative discussion as crafting well-written communications, easily pivoting between independent work and group collaboration

  • Calm under pressure, rolls with the punches, flexible, open to input, and assumes positive intent when receiving feedback
  • Proven experience in video production, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative vision and technical skills
  • Expert in Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects)
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in video production, with a passion for storytelling and visual communication
  • Able to travel as needed to shoot in-market or meet with our videographers during shoots

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Ability to operate professional video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio recording devices.
  • Experience working in a creative agency or media production company.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and techniques, particularly as they relate to video content.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their video specifications and requirements.
  • Experience shooting and editing video content in diverse environments, including on-location shoots in various settings.
  • Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
