Maintenance Scheduler.
Thisrole is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of maintenance activities to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance tasks, creating schedules, and allocating resources in alignment with production needs and priorities. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be essential in driving operational excellence within the maintenance department
Objectives of this Role
- Collaborate with Leads and Technicians to develop maintenance plans and schedules based on equipment reliability, production requirements, and resource availability
- Generate maintenance schedules, considering preventive maintenance tasks, corrective maintenance activities, and equipment downtime windows
- Coordinate the allocation of maintenance personnel, tools, and equipment to ensure that scheduled maintenance tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Liaise with production supervisors and planners to align maintenance schedules with production schedules, minimizing disruptions to operations
- Prioritize maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality, safety considerations, and production priorities, adjusting schedules as necessary to address urgent issues
- Review and prioritize work orders submitted by maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion
- Communicate maintenance schedules, priorities, and resource requirements to all relevant stakeholders, including maintenance personnel, production teams, and management
- Analyze historical maintenance data and equipment performance metrics to identify trends, optimize maintenance schedules, and improve overall equipment reliability
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ Years experience in Maintenance Scheduling, Technician Dispatch
- 3+ Years of experience in high volume data entry
- Extensive knowledge of skilled trades, manufacturing operations, and working vocabulary of mechanical functions and parts
- Analytical skills, independent decision-making skills, self-motivation and strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Office 360, including Excel
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Good attendance and ability to work 100% onsite at our Detroit location
- This position is an administrative role and does not have any direct reports or supervisory responsibilities
