For this role specifically, we are seeking individuals to help support high-impact, civic tech within the federal government.We are currently seeking a Project Owner to join our team! The Project Owner analyzes user needs to determine functional and nonfunctional requirements.
Performs group facilitation, interviewing, and training. Assists more experienced business analysts in preparing the project deliverables and guides work of more junior analysts. Provides support by coordinating with other project teams during user acceptance testing, training and production deployment activities. Serves as Scrum Master during Agile software development projects. The Project Owner will facilitate team productivity by removing any blockers that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals and by preserving flexibility and the adaptability of the team.Client Requirements: applicants MUST BE US Citizens andable to obtain Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective
- Track and report team performance metrics
- Experience coordinating and driving Agile projects
- Ability to understand a project's technical details and uncover and assess project risks
- Knowledge and understanding of web architecture, technologies, and applications
- Ability to address, research, elevate, provide feedback, and resolve issues related to IT portfolio management
- Ability to coach the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- At least 7 years of experience
- Strong communication and team management skills
Nice to Have:
- Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification or PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
- PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
- SAFe certified or experience (or other scaled agile frameworks)
Salary Information
We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $110k to $140k annually. Please note that this range is intended to provide a general idea of what to expect. The final offer may vary based on experience, skills, and other factor
