JOB DESCRIPTION
Octant is looking for an experienced project manager and problem solver to take on important company projects as a member of our Operations team. Our Ops team is building out and running the operational and administrative functions of the company to ensure Octant is executing across HR, recruiting, legal, marketing/communications, business operations, office management, lab operations, and facilities.
AS A PART OF OCTANT'S OPERATIONS TEAM, YOU'LL:
- work across all aspects of Octant operations and collaborate closely with our finance, legal and business development teams
- support the planning and execution of performance review and career development processes, recruiting coordination, and onboarding new hires
- oversee our contract management system, including automating our contract review processes and designing and deploying repeatable workflows for high-volume contracts so contracts are timely and efficiently reviewed
- drive integration of data into our financial dashboards, ensuring the right audiences receive the right information at the right time; and
- alternate wearing different functional hats and routinely tackle essential administrative tasks while moving the ball forward on high impact projects

You have a team-first mindset and are keen to diversify your skillset. You’re detail-oriented, and thoughtful about clarifying prioritization and ensuring projects are completed to specification. You love to learn new things, are eager to troubleshoot random tasks that arise in startups, and can navigate the uncertainty of an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
THIS JOB MIGHT BE GREAT FOR YOU IF YOU:
- have two to eight years of experience in startups, professional services, or management consulting
- have a background in science and/or are excited about biotechnology
- have an aptitude for managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- enjoy flexing your process execution skills and working seamlessly across functions

- have strong organizational and prioritization skills
