Storage Architect Level 2
TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATIONDetails:Ongoing management of configuration and layout of the storage infrastructure as well as periodic analysis of the environment following best practices. Responsible for ongoing storage recommendations, capacity planning and best practices, as applicable, for the following areas: business continuity, high availability, backup, recovery and archiving. Provides reach-back to various storage vendor technical support. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. The Level 2 Storage Architect shall possess the following capabilities:
- Provides technical leadership and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for capacity planning and disaster recovery planning and design where applicable.
- Responsible for ongoing recommendations and best practices, as applicable, for the following areas: Business Continuity, High Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving.
- Designs data migration plan and architecture, as required. (U) Provides ITIL process planning as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years' experience in storage operations or storage architecture.
- Ten (10) years' experience in similar environments or projects for the federal government.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from an accredited university in CS, IS, SE, or related field is preferred. Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a related technical field may be substituted for five (5) years of experience. Vendor certifications may be substituted for varying years of experience.
