About the role:


Anthropic is looking for an empathetic engineer to build internal tools to enable and increase productivity for our employees, including scenarios for fraud, trust & safety, sales, and support teams. You'll collaborate closely with internal users to understand needs and create efficient solutions, often incorporating Claude for a greater experience and impact. On Employee Acceleration Tools, we are passionate about delighting and enabling our users through thoughtful and easy-to-use everyday solutions.We have multiple roles open on this team and are looking for experienced engineers at different stages in their career who are excited about this space and our mission.

Responsibilities:


  • Rapidly prototype and build internal tools for a variety of functions
  • Develop custom internal tools and integrations where needed for more complex workflows
  • Consult with different teams to deeply understand their workflows and identify opportunities for automation
  • Maintain and iterate on tools based on user feedback to continually improve utility
  • Monitor tool reliability and be available to troubleshoot issues
  • Advocate for interfaces, APIs, and UX designed for usability

You may be a good fit if you:


  • 3-10+ years building production full-stack software with a focus on usability
  • Strong communication skills and user empathy to understand needs
  • Proficiency with modern web development stacks
  • Experience with cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated a focus on reliability and iterative improvement

Strong candidates may also:


  • Experience building internal tools
  • A background in fraud, security, or related internal workflows
  • Knowledge of security and privacy best practices
  • Experience balancing trade-offs while maintaining security, privacy, and reliability standards

Location Preference:

We welcome applicants from all states, but preference will be given to candidates based in the Seattle area as this position is part of a Seattle-based team.
The expected salary range for this position is:Annual Salary:$300,000—$405,000 USD

Logistics


Location-based hybrid policy:

Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

 We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
