We seek a proactive individual capable of gathering requirements and feedback, and designing and building scalable, best-practice solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and the ability to align our current setup with our business objectives, quickly identifying areas for improvement. The Senior Salesforce Administrator should excel in change management and governance, effectively communicating, prioritizing, and managing all aspects of Salesforce projects. This role requires liaising with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical information into layman’s terms, and clearly explaining design options and their potential impacts. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential, along with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively on a wide range of time-sensitive, critical tasks that will drive the business forward.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee all aspects of user and license management, including user setup and deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, organization-wide defaults (OWD), and sharing rules.
- Implement and manage Salesforce configuration changes, encompassing Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, applications, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, and the creation of dashboards and reports.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of basic triggers and Apex code.
- Manage sandbox environments efficiently.
- Exhibit experience in DevOps and release management.
- Identify and gather requirements, translating them into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on delivering an exceptional user experience.
- Detect and address unused or underutilized platform features.
- Regularly communicate product outcomes and effectively convey the product story to stakeholders.
- Conduct data management activities to enhance Salesforce data quality, implementing necessary rules and automation.
- Ensure the optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products.
- Upgrade and configure Salesforce systems to achieve optimized integration.
- Perform proactive system maintenance, including conducting Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Checks, and utilizing Optimizer tools.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Influence the decision on new/systems integrations architecture.
- Manage integrated applications and third-party suppliers, including DealHub, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, Gong, Totango, and 6Sense.
- Support Varicent's internal initiatives to improve our people, processes, and market presence.
- Focus on automating business users repeatable tasks (ex. leads reassignment).
- Pursue new skillsets aligned with personal professional development goals, leveraging the learning and development budget provided by Varicent.
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive Salesforce product knowledge with a minimum of 5 years of Salesforce Administration experience.
- Certified Salesforce Administrator.
- Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Advanced Administrator and Platform App Builder.
- Proven expertise in creating and maintaining Salesforce databases.
- Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce products and their functionalities.
- Demonstrated success in collaborative teamwork and proactive initiative in managing individual projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and excellent written communication skills.
- Strong platform understanding, with the capability to develop custom applications and objects, formula fields, flows, approval processes, custom views, and other moderately complex content.
- Thorough knowledge of Salesforce best practices and functionalities.
- Exceptional data management skills.
- APEX coding experience is a plus.
- DealHub knowledge is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred.
