Full-timeDescriptionWe are seeking an exceptional candidate with the vision, dynamism, and substantial experience to help drive our Distribution Sales channel within the rapidly evolving Electronic and Hydraulic markets. The Distribution Sales Manager role is responsible for direct management of our sales channel partners acting as the champion to cultivate growth in the Mobile On/Off-Highway and Industrial Stationary Markets by assisting our partners in implementing and applying our general market products and technologies.
Distribution Sales Managers play a critical role in our business by providing market insights and intelligence to drive new product development, services, and competitive pricing. The Distribution Sales Manager is expected to translate and explain complex technical information to sales channel partners and end-customers by demonstrating how our products can solve specific application challenges and enable customer with creative solutions. The Sales Manager is the champion for our partners, facilitating and supporting Distribution onboarding, training, sales opportunities, and forecasting.
Success in this position will include an ability to provide technical expertise on integrating our products and technologies and driving projects to resolution in collaboration with our highly capable partners. Understanding the distribution channel sales process and how to collaborate with distributors to drive downstream channel sales is a plus. The position will report directly to the Manager of Distribution Sales, with oversight and direct interaction with the Director of North American Sales.This position is Safety Sensitive.Key Job Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between the company and our partners to successfully implement our products and technologies into engineered system solutions across a variety of applications and markets.
- Establish an aggressive annual growth strategy for each account to include their target markets, customers, and product lines. Execute the strategic plan with customers, including key visits and product training. Perform regular assessment of performance to targets. Align growth goals with corporate growth targets.
- Perform regular and deliberate customer engagement on all accounts to include immediate investigation and follow-up on customer requests, regular and timely communication on opportunities, forecasting, inventory, and training needs.
- Provide accurate forecast projections developed in collaboration with customers and historical performance/market analysis. Effectively translate customer forecasting data for revenue and planning purposes. Track customer forecast changes and proactively manage for planning.
- Regularly engage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the organization to support customers and provide timely communication as the liaison between customers and SMEs. Escalate issues as necessary to provide optimal customer experience. Drive issues to resolution and success to establish win-win scenarios.
- Effectively present the value proposition of Enovation Controls and its products and technologies, present to large groups, and attend trade shows.
- Champion the Distribution Program internally and provide accurate feedback from customers to internally assess and prioritize training needs, product roadmap specifications, and competitive pricing.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer and team relationships with integrity, meaningful collaboration, and accountability.
RequirementsEducation
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Distribution
Experience and Skills
- Professional experience in Technical Sales, 3 plus years preferred.
- Distribution channel sales experience a plus.
- Ability to properly understand and convey product information in highly engineered system sales markets.
- Successful track record of sales and customer interface in the technical marketplace.
- 50%+ travel required, some international travel possible.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently under general direction, within the parameters of company policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform well under pressure generated by day-to-day customer demands.
- Ability to drive a weekly sales management cadence against a set of key goals and objectives.
- Ability to develop and maintain meaningful team and customer relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to negotiate and manage conflict well.
- Proficiency in and commitment to business reporting and forecasting platforms.
Location
- Willing to re-locate to Tulsa, Oklahoma preferred.
