SUMMARY
The Legal Specialist provides essential support to Elligo’s Legal Department and will partner with Elligo’s attorneys, Privacy Officer and Contracts team to assist with various legal and administrative tasks. This includes reviewing confidentiality agreements, drafting amendments and termination agreements, managing contract execution process, facilitating reviews in Elligo’s Privacy Office, supporting Elligo’s contract management and helping coordinate corporate governance matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Manages corporate legal documents from creation to completion, including approval and signature process.
- Manages corporate records and coordinates annual requirements for legal entities.
- Supports the Privacy Officer with investigations and privacy related matters.
- Drafts confidentiality agreements, termination agreements, legal notices and amendments with support of managing attorneys.
- Supports Contracts team with Salesforce tasks and general administration
- Coordinates with local counsel to draft and file documents for legal entities, as needed.
- Revises, updates and populates form legal documents such as master agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and amendments for review, approval and use by the Legal Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, processes, and other related matters.
- Ability to work with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout an organization to identify quality solutions and effectively achieve business results..
- Proactive and timely follow-up skills including the ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external stakeholder needs as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills including the advanced ability to effectively multi-task and manage time sensitive matters/documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to complete tasks respond to department requests and collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency with other Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint); ability to understand, adapt, and leverage technology to drive strategic and operational success.
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the education and experience stated above.
- Related experience is preferred.
- Advanced ability to effectively multi-task and manage time-sensitive matters/documents.
ENVIRONMENT
This is a remote position operating in a home-office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and phones.This position is requires no travel.
