MBL Technologies is hiring for a

Business Continuity Project Manager. The individual will manage the development, and refinement of continuity and contingency plans for large federal organizations. The candidate must have a working knowledge of these Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Continuity of Government (COG) programs and experience employing them within a federal organization.


This role is contingent upon award of contract.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the planning and development of the project idea, working with key stakeholders to define and create the process to successfully implement the project. 
  • Lead a team of Business Continuity professionals, guiding, training, and/or coaching as needed to set the project up for success.
  • Create an accurate timeline for project completion, ensuring tasks are finished within the allotted timeline.
  • Manage and solve project issues, including any changes and/or expansions that might arise throughout the project.
  • Manage the project budget, ensuring the project remains within budget.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders any updates and/or feedback as needed. 
  • Evaluate the overall project performance.      
  • Performs other official job duties and projects as assigned in support of the Federal agency.

Required Experience/Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field.
  • Certification with reputable business continuity or emergency management organizations; preferably Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM).
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years of project management experience.
  • Experience with business continuity, emergency management, and continuity of operations program requirements.
  • Ability to identify project  goals objectives, and scope and create a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required, while establishing and maintaining processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performant standards, and assessing risks.
  • Understanding of how to conduct regular status meetings with executive level personnel and subject matter experts.
  • Experience developing and reviewing communication plans for program initiatives, reporting project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalating issues, as necessary, according to the project plan.
  • Experience and understanding of Project Management.
  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) to create documents, briefings, and leadership reports.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
