We’re unapologetically ambitious! We are looking for a Director, Talent Partnerships to join Translation!
What You'll Do
- Facilitate best in class, tier 1 talent brand engagements utilizing your extensive, key contacts in the industry.
- Strategize talent partnerships for enterprise tent poles including SelectCon, Earn Your Masters and Celebration of Independence.
- Familiarize yourself with UnitedMasters artists and recommend them for brand partnerships.
- Conduct expert level outreach, negotiation and contracting with celebrities, influencers, athletes, music artists, etc.
- Oversee content strategy, development, long range planning, and creative direction of the talent team.
- Maintain fundamental relationships with internal business partners across account/client services, strategy, creative, production, legal and finance, etc.
- Maintain key relationships with external business partners at brands, agencies, labels and management groups.
- On-site talent management at content shoots, enterprise tentpole events, etc.
- Maintaining strong industry connections and relationships.
- Support the head of talent partnerships with department management functions, thought leadership and mentorship of junior team members.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven, strong, industry relationships with talent agencies, publicists, PR reps, and managers.
- Ability to drive talent creative ideation.
- Identifying budding influencers, industry trends and mainstays.
- Create, review and evaluate pitch decks.
- Deal memo and contract longform drafting, review and redlining.
- Ability to present and pitch talent partnerships to clients.
- Strong collaboration, communication and written skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience within talent relations, brand partnerships or similar functions at an advertising agency, music label, talent agency, media outlet, creative agency or similar environment
- Advertising agency, brand partnerships or branded content experience.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proven track record of identifying and securing top talent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Considerable ad agency experience
- Knowledge of SAG-AFTRA
- Understanding of scoping and budget management
- Deep contract knowledge and understanding of legalities.

Salary Hiring Range:
$135,000 - $165,000Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.
