We are a brand-new, high value/low fare airline growing throughout the U.S. You will have a key role in creating an airline our Crewmembers are proud of because we deliver a great customer experience with execution our customers know they can count on. As an Avelo Aircraft Maintenance Technician you will ensure the safe, compliant, on-time and efficient maintenance of Avelo aircraft at the line maintenance level. This is achieved by coordinating and executing aircraft maintenance, open transparent communication, and maintaining safety and compliance as Avelo’s first line of defense.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an understanding of the maintenance program
- Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled work loads
- Assume “ownership” of the aircraft while on duty
- Maintain open communication with Team Leads, Maintenance Control and Pilots
- Demonstrated knowledge of Structural Repair Manual conditional use and damage assessment
- Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program and promote a ‘Safety Always’ culture
- Understands compliance of FAA Regulatory requirements as it pertains to planning tasks against aircraft daily
Requirements
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and troubleshooting and MEL/CDL procedures
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. for a distance of 10 feet
- Must be able to work outside in inclement weather
- Must be able to work shift work, weekends, and holidays
- Possible travel for training, deployment and/or issue resolution up to 25% away from base
- Must provide own hand tools to meet minimum company tool list
- Possesses strong critical thinking and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
- Ability to clearly lead, mentor and instruct other Crew Members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current and Valid Driver’s License required
- Must have the authority to work in the U.S as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
- Must be able to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen
X-FACTORS:
- 3 years of experience on different types of aircraft with 10 or more seat with an air carrier or certificated repair station preferred
- Boeing Systems Fam courses preferred
- 737 Line maintenance preferred
May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technical developments)
