Job Description
We are looking for an Instructional Designer III to join our Effective Learning and Performance Team. In this role, you will be taking ownership of all aspects of design for the team
. Our ideal candidate will have working experience as an Instructional Designer in the corporate space using tools like Storyline, Camtasia, Articulate, Rise, or Adobe etc. If you enjoy owning design strategies from end-to-end, this position could be a great fit for you!
This is a remote (in the U.S.) position and will be a W-2 hourly 3 to 6-month contract with possible extension.The hourly rate is
$30/hr. – $35/hr.
Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, training, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing adult learning theory and neuroscience to create and build best-in-class digital-first learning designs for various business units.
- Facilitating working sessions with leaders, peers, and SMEs to design, build, and stabilize learning initiatives, such as new product development, evaluation, course maintenance, and process documentation.
- Socializing and communicating design proposals to partners through solid storytelling and alignment with business strategy.
- Maintaining a facilitative approach, listening for both passive and active feedback and iterating based on that feedback.
- Develop online or print-based learning materials adhering to ULearn internal style and brand guidelines.
- Planning and executing deliverables, such as surveys and interviews, conceptual visuals and prototypes, storyboards/video scripts, journey maps/experience narratives, content strategy/design documents, etc.
- Applying Agile/Scrum methodology to co-create products, test, deploy, and improve in an iteratively way.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Instructional Design experience in the corporate space.
- Experience with design tools such as Articulate, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Captivate, Enable Now and/or other multimedia development tools.
- Experience creating design assets in a variety of mediums including print and digital.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams Preferred Technologies.
- Critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Basic coding skills are a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership.
