OBJECTIVE
To perform the duties of a Paint Prep Technician with precision and efficiently in order to preserve labor and materials. To be driven by your results; achieving a consistently excellent paint finish on each assigned work order.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
· Perform tasks in a safe and proficient manner at all times.· Positively support and work with other departments as a team.· Support, maintain, and build the Lean Culture at Gable. · Experience with the proper application of finishes with various types of spray equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Knowledge of the proper prep methods and time they should take.· Knows how to properly sand and prep for paint,· Knows how to properly sand and featheredge surface for primer· Able to properly block for refinishing· Follow vendors procedures to maintain all tools and requirement· Maintain a clean and organized work space· Adheres to all requirements hazardous waste disposal· Directing and assisting department personnel as needed to accomplish team goals.· Verifying proper procedures are being followed to maintain product specification within our quality standards.· Informing management of labor needs and/or problems related to production. · Maintaining cross team communication.· Complying with all OSHA and MOSH regulations.Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representatives of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions for this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The Finishing Technician must have the ability to frequently lift items weighting between 10 and 50 lbs. Additionally, twelve-hour work shifts are necessary in this position in which you must stand, bend, or stoop without relief. The primary job duties required for this position are performed inside.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job team member is exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the environment is moderate to high. Frequent shop noise will be very loud and protective ear covers may be needed.
The required PPE must be work at all times while in the shop.

All prospective team members must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Candidates must also meet the requirements for an I-9, e-Verify.
