Supplier Manager for Consumable Products (x/f/m) to join our growing family. As a pivotal member of our team, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality consumable products. You will play a vital role in managing the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from sourcing and selection to contract negotiation and performance evaluation. Key Responsibilities
Supplier Sourcing and Selection
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for consumable products based on quality, reliability, cost, and capacity.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and ethical practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality assurance, and product development, to define supplier requirements and specifications.
Contract Negotiation and Management
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service level agreements.
- Review and analyze supplier contracts, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor contract compliance, resolve any disputes or issues, and enforce contractual obligations.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Foster strong partnerships with key suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for ongoing communication and issue resolution.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, evaluating metrics such as delivery performance, quality standards, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, process optimization, and innovation.
Supply Chain Optimization
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain for consumable products, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing stockouts.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure adequate supply to support business operations.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to maintain uninterrupted supply in case of unforeseen events.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to consumable products, ensuring supplier compliance, and minimizing legal and reputational risks.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supplier management, preferably in the field of consumable products and suppliers in Americas and Europe.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement processes, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
