About the Position
Formation Bio is looking for an Operations Strategy and Analytics Manager. Formation Bio’s OSA team is a mix of business intelligence and operational strategy. This team is responsible for synthesizing, analyzing and visualizing critical Operational data ensuring teams can make the best decisions, as well as working across the entire Development Operations function to identify areas of process improvement and positive P&L impact. We are looking for someone who is data driven and is able to blend a strong operational mindset with analytical tools and frameworks to help us iterate as a Development Operations function.
You are excited to dig deep into the data to uncover insights and equally excited to zoom out to enable cross functional teams to solve the most impactful problems. You will work cross-functionally with members from Development Operations, Product and Data to build an operational roadmap to improve our clinical trial processes. You are a self-serve player; able to take broad business questions, gather appropriate stakeholders and data, quickly isolate and model key insights, visualize results and effectively communicate actionable recommendations. You should be able to demonstrate a willingness to work in a dynamic environment while balancing competing projects. You are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with cross functional stakeholders. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical experience and an ability to create and manage complex operational models in a variety of tools.This is an individual contributor manager position with the growth potential of managing one or two analysts in the future.
Responsibilities
Lead and implement cross functional development initiatives (OKRs) end to end in collaboration with leaders from Development Operations.
- Independently come up with process improvement solutions with SMEs or create frameworks for others to use to problem solve
- Partnering with Development Operations stakeholders to create, define, analyze and report on business health via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics
Translate business requirements into technical requirements and partner with data entities or teams like Data Governance, Data Platform, Clinical Data and Programming to implement the data and reporting solution required in a timely manner.
- Translating quarterly company and project specific goals into monthly and weekly project milestones for self and team
About You
- Strong Project leadership. 4+ years experience of project management or clear examples of highly impactful project implementation in a highly matrixed organization, where he/she had to interact with people from different functions/people, many of whom have more seniority
- Experience working with various cross functional stakeholders on tight and fluid timeliness
- Excellent communication, organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to operate independently, identify and surface problems and devise solutions
- Deep analytical experience. 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing analytics solutions. Intermediate SQL, financial data modeling, and looker/tableau/powerBI
- Strong analytical mindset. You know that data should be leveraged to make the best business decisions possible

We pay all employees competitively relative to the New York City market, regardless of their location. In compliance with NYC’s pay transparency law and in pursuit of pay equity and fairness, we publish salary ranges for all open roles at Formation Bio. The target salary range for this role is $132,000 - $172,000.
