We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Paid Search to lead our team and propel our agency to new heights in the realm of paid search marketing. The Vice President of Paid Search will spearhead our paid search initiatives, driving strategic direction, team leadership, and innovation. This role demands a forward-thinking leader with deep expertise in paid search marketing, a pulse on industry trends, and a history of successful strategy execution and team management.

The VP of Paid Search will be responsible for managing a team, developing, and implementing new strategies, optimizing performance, and ensuring that our agency remains at the forefront of paid search marketing. The position reports to the EVP of Paid Channel Marketing. The position is based in Dallas. It is a hybrid remote/in office role.Success in this role will be determined by your ability to move the team forward, share your expertise with clients and team members, build strong relationships with team members, and work independently within the appropriate reporting structure.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the paid search team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop comprehensive paid search marketing strategies across various platforms, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (Bing), Baidu, Naver, Yahoo! Japan and others.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to keep the agency’s paid search strategies cutting-edge.
  • Evaluate new tools, platforms, and partnerships to enhance campaign effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Share insights and trends with clients and internal teams to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure that all paid search campaigns are innovative, on-brand, and utilize the latest industry best practices.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Manager, Paid Search, oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of team members.
  • Serve as a senior contact for key clients, providing strategic guidance and addressing any concerns or questions related to paid search.
  • Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
  • Negotiate with platform representatives and third-party vendors to secure the best rates and services.
  • Manage team resources, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve agency profitability and utilization goals within the paid search team for the paid channel marketing strategic business unit.
  • Track and report on financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • May require active client work on key accounts, including strategy development and readouts.
  • Work with growth teams on new business pitches, demonstrating Mod Op’s paid search expertise.
  • Guide time in execution of programs such as Google Merchant Center and other programs beyond traditional search.
