Division Overview


Indera Mills was incorporated in Winston Salem, North Carolina in 1914 by Francis Henry Fries. From the beginning, Indera has been a vertically integrated apparel manufacturer. The Indera Mills mission is to be the premier thermal underwear supplier in the U.S. by offering the best product value: style and quality at a very competitive price.As one of the three largest suppliers of thermal underwear products in the world, we count 5,000 retail customers in the U.S. We are unique in that we only produce and distribute thermal underwear.

As such, the company is completely focused year-round on fulfilling the needs of our customers.

Job Purpose


Supervises daily distribution activities to ensure department efficiency, timely shipments, and quality service. Provide leadership and employee development. Builds positive team attitude, and communication with warehouse staff and other departments.

Duties


  • Supervises distribution operation; Receiving, Picking, Assembly, and Shipping
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to staff to achieve performance goals
  • Communicates with all departments to ensure picking, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, etc. are being processed in a timely matter
  • Plans, organizes and supervises daily tasks to ensure timely and efficient operation, with ability to shift priorities and adjusting as workload demands
  • Assist and implement changes as needed
  • Participates in continuously searching for process improvements 
  • Communicates with team, daily shipping issues, safety, workload, giving feedback, etc.
  • Ensures that WMS transactions are up to date; closing of inbounds/outbounds, pending putaway, etc.
  • Confirms that equipment is maintained and kept in a usable state
  • Ensures DC organization, cleanliness, and safety
  • Ensures that orders are picked, assembler, and shipped per customer requirements; carton labeling, pallet labeling, pallet height, loading, BOL, etc.
  • Promotes teamwork environment
  • Occasionally weekends needed

Skills/Qualifications


  • 3-5 years previous warehouse or similar experience
  • Knowledge and experience with warehouse processes and warehouse management systems (preferably Manhattan, PKMS)
  • Experience with multi-tasking, prioritizing, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience working in fast paced environment, and ability to plan, taking all information into consideration
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Proficient in data entry, inventory control, logistics, running reports
  • Knowledge of TL, LTL, and parcel shipping
  • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds
