Senior NOC Administrator
(This is a remote position open to applicants residing in TX, NM, AZ or KS)
Job Description
The Senior NOC Administrator is responsible for training and mentoring staff. You will oversee the monitoring tools used and ensure alerts are directed to the correct locations, ensure the proper functioning of tools and processes, and schedule and perform routine maintenance. The Senior NOC Administrator acts as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and leads incident response, working with their team to diagnose, troubleshoot and respond to network and system incidents. You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction through team and individual one-on-one meetings, both formal and informal, to monitor performance and KPIs.NOC Staff maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
The Senior NOC Administrator is responsible for implementing and enforcing quality assurance processes and conducting regular audits. You will ensure that security protocols are followed and participate in incident response and investigations.The Senior NOC Administrator is responsible for developing and implementing emergency response plans and coordinating with relevant teams during critical incidents. This position requires flexibility to respond within a reasonable timeframe in a 24/7 environment in the event there is an after-hours incident where assistance is needed.
Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience
- Experience with network monitoring tools and network management systems
- Collaboration skills to work effectively with other IT professionals and departments
- Experience leading a team of NOC technicians
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required prior to start date for all employees
