Job Overview
As a Legal Support Specialist, you will support the company’s legal needs by tackling a variety of legal topics. The Legal Support Specialist works with legal, compliance, and with a focus as legal/Sales liaison. To be successful as the Legal Support Specialist, you will enjoy learning how to solution for the company’s legal/compliance needs.
Essential Functions:
As the Legal Support Specialist, you will:
- Assist with compliance and due diligence matters as it relates to the Sales process, including
- managing requests and data involved in compliance requests and audits
- supporting people across all departments involved in the gathering of compliance requests
- Manage and drive due diligence process for potential and existing customers
- Assist with related compliance functions and business analysis as needed
- Respond to questions from around the company on subjects managed by the legal department
- Legal research for various projects
- Assist with tasks as assigned by the CLO
- Other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Required Education and Experience
- B.A., B.S. or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a legal specialist
- Experience in a mortgage and/or credit industry
- Experience working in FinTech offering, SaaS and PaaS and IP is a plus
- Experience with compliance and due diligence requests
- Project Management skills a plus
