MBL Technologies is seeking a
Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team immediately. While the position is remote, the selected candidate may need to attend in person meetings located in the Washington, D.C. area.
The
Senior Application Security Engineer will perform activities to help proactively secure and remediate flaws in highly visible software applications throughout all stages of the software development life cycle, including during design, secure coding and development, testing, and deployment stages. The individual will be responsible for engaging with application teams and other stakeholders; conducting static code analysis, dynamic code analysis, or penetration testing -leveraging OWASP frameworks and tools such as Burp Suite; and developing security requirements and modeling threats leveraging tools such as SDElements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Five + years of experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, .NET, or C#
- Five + years of experience with using the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security controls to secure applications, systems, network, or infrastructure services
- Five + years of experience with supporting Veracode Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and IDE Plug-in environments
- Experience with Eclipse, JDeveloper, including pipeline development, or Visual Studio
- Experience with securing enterprise web applications and OWASP Top 10, CVSS, CWE, WASC, and SANS-25
- Knowledge of web protocols and a command line tool
- Knowledge of federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, or FedRAMP
- Knowledge of Linux or UNIX environments, including navigating and troubleshooting basic website connectivity issues
- BA or BS degree
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with the Security Compass SDElements security requirements tool
- Experience with Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST) capabilities and tools
- Experience with OWASP ZAP or Burp Proxy
