What we need:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer - Portal to join our growing Software Development team. The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of MacStadium's web platform, including its customer portal and back-office admin. Responsibilities include full stack architecture and design of software systems, infrastructure automation, API and services development, UI development, testing, deployment, and delivery of software products. On the Portal / Admin team, you will have the opportunity to work across other business units such as product, ops, and finance to deliver smart solutions to problems related to customer management, data center automation, billing, authorization, and identity.
In general, you’ll accomplish this by extending our GraphQL API and implementing useful flows for both internal and external customers in React. The ability to occasionally get your hands dirty with our legacy LAMP stack is a plus!This position is a part of our Software Development team, reporting to the VP – Engineering; Atlanta, GA location and Eastern Time zone is preferred.MacStadium's current U.S. office locations are in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV. While it is ideal to have this position located in close proximity to one of our offices, we are open to filling the role remotely outside of the states of Georgia and Nevada (within the United States) for the right candidate.
What you will be doing:
Technical skills required:
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- GraphQL (Apollo, Express)
- MySQL
- React (tested with Jest and React Testing Library)
- Material UI
- Database migrations using Flyway or other migration tools
- Docker or Podman
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform is a plus
- Experience with CakePHP is a plus
What Experience You Should Have:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar preferred
- 5 years of experience and at least 3 ~ 5 years of professional experience with the top four technical skills
- Full Stack software development experience
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as team oriented and customer-focused
- Ability to work in a team environment to deliver components to complex projects
