Role Mission:
As a Facilities Specialist at Rhodes, you will be responsible to providing maintenance and grounds keeping to keep our communities looking beautiful and clean. You are part of the Property & Customer Care Team and will have an exciting opportunity to support the accomplishment of our organizational purpose to create beautifully engaging communities.
Accountabilities:
- Maintaining site landscaping and grounds through fertilizing, mowing, weed eating, planting/trimming trees and other vegetation along with other grounds maintenance duties as identified
- Maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers and irrigation
- Fertilizing lawn, trees, flowers and shrubs and spreading mulch
- Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs and preventing and eliminating weeds
- Utilizing insecticides, fertilizers and chemical sprays to treat diseases
- Keeping ground free from trash, litter and debris and emptying trash receptacles
- Conducting basic irrigation audit and performing irrigation repairs
- Maintenance community pools according to assigned schedule
- Maintain community structures and building through routine maintenance and annual upkeep such as painting, pressure washing, etc.
- Operate and provide maintenance to department and company equipment and machinery, hand tools and power tools as necessary
- Support in delivery and storage of material and equipment across communities as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
- 1+ year groundskeeping or related experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Free from allergies that interfere with groundskeeping duties
- Available to work overtime
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in using manual and power tools safely
- Able to operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mower, weedeater, leave blower, shovel etc.
- Ability to follow instructions
- Proficient communication skills and ability to maintain logs and document activity
- Physically agile and dexterous

Physical Demands:
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 75 pounds. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching. Repeated bending. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate groups equipment and tools.
