Power BI Developer to support our client based in Miami, Florida.US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY. This is an onsite position. Candidates must be located in or near Miami, Florida. The opportunity
TECKpert seeks to hire a Power BI Developer to support our client, a government agency based in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, SQL proficiency, data visualization, and using DAX expressions. Additionally, familiarity with Cognos and experience with data sources such as SQL Server and Oracle is required. Excellent communication and writing skills are essential for this role.Job duties includes but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Perform data modeling and analysis to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Migrate Cognos reports to Power BI, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Optimize report performance and data visualization to enhance user experience.
- Conduct data quality assessments and implement data cleansing processes as needed.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI functionality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Power BI development.
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, ongoing need with contract to hire possibility and pay commensurate with experience up to $84,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire. Qualifications you needA successful Power BI Developer has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Power BI.
- Experience migrating Cognos reports to Power BI.
- Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, data visualization, and DAX expressions.
- Familiarity with data sources such as SQL Server and Oracle.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
