Summary


Ideas United is looking for a dynamic Public Relations and Marketing Specialist to enhance our communications strategy and bolster our public engagement efforts. This role is crucial for articulating our vision, managing our media presence, and fostering robust relationships with stakeholders and the community in alignment with our core values. The ideal candidate has a strong focus on the golf industry, with experience engaging with golf media, influencers, and stakeholders, and can contribute significantly to our marketing efforts throughout multiple golf industry events.

What you'll do:


  • Forge strong relationships with key players in the golf industry, including clubs, sponsors, nonprofits, and media outlets. Ensure our initiatives resonate within the golf community and uphold the brand's values
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine and communicate the mission, values and event effectively
  • Create media kits tailored for the golf industry, including FAQs and communication assets that reflect the sport's culture
  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies, including identifying key media opportunities and coordinating with potential spokespeople
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with all relevant parties, address challenges proactively, and ensure alignment across various platforms
  • Provide strategic direction on community engagement, fundraising efforts, and partnerships with charitable organizations to enhance our community impact, focusing on golf-related initiatives
  • Contribute strategy and insights to presentations and key messaging in collaboration with the Creative team
  • Maintain communication with sponsorship partners for Tee Up ATL 2024
  • Identify target audiences for advertising creative via social media buys in the Georgia area
  • Recommend and execute ad distribution plans across social media, print, OOH (out of home), and other channels deemed appropriate
  • Connect with and provide materials to relevant event influencers
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our stakeholder's brand and initiatives within the golf industry and beyond--ensuring these strategies align with our PR efforts and overall goals
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data to inform future strategies and improve performance

What we'll love about you:


  • 3+ years of marketing experience 
  • Strong content creation and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of results placing media stories and relationships with media
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, with a deep understanding of the golf industry
  • Proficient in social media analytics, using data to drive decisions and measure the impact of social media efforts
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and innovative thinker, passionate about identifying new opportunities for brand growth
