Avionics Technician (Part 145) - Ventura County, CA 


We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our dynamic team, operating under Part 145 regulations. In this role, you will install, test, and maintain cutting-edge avionics systems on our aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA standards while collaborating with a talented team of technicians, pilots, and engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Install and test avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements.
  • Verify and ensure the proper safety conditions of avionics systems prior to flight.
  • Perform software updates and configuration changes on avionics systems.
  • Maintain documentation and proper record-keeping of repairs, maintenance, inspections, reports, and other items related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Reference maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs.
  • Collaborate with technicians, pilots, engineers, and other team members to service our fleet of aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot issues with flight and testing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience supporting aircraft electrical repair
  • Strong working knowledge of aviation safety practices and technology
  • An understanding of other aircraft systems such as hydraulics, flight controls, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Trade school or military training in aircraft maintenance
  • FAA inspection authorization certification
  • 5+ years of experience supporting the maintenance of aircraft
