Avionics Technician (Part 145) - Ventura County, CA
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our dynamic team, operating under Part 145 regulations. In this role, you will install, test, and maintain cutting-edge avionics systems on our aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA standards while collaborating with a talented team of technicians, pilots, and engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and test avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements.
- Verify and ensure the proper safety conditions of avionics systems prior to flight.
- Perform software updates and configuration changes on avionics systems.
- Maintain documentation and proper record-keeping of repairs, maintenance, inspections, reports, and other items related to aircraft maintenance.
- Reference maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs.
- Collaborate with technicians, pilots, engineers, and other team members to service our fleet of aircraft.
- Troubleshoot issues with flight and testing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience supporting aircraft electrical repair
- Strong working knowledge of aviation safety practices and technology
- An understanding of other aircraft systems such as hydraulics, flight controls, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Trade school or military training in aircraft maintenance
- FAA inspection authorization certification
- 5+ years of experience supporting the maintenance of aircraft
