- Provide data architecture support to meet the business and technical requirements for the existing DW.
- Provide ETL design and development services that enable the client to make major enhancements to its current DW.
Their focus will be on the integration between the Client systems and the DW. The integration is accomplished using the ETL process, and the tool the Client's tool is ODI.
Job Description
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ETL processes
- participate in business requirement sessions and document requirements for change requests
- perform data profile and data analysis of source system data and identify all source data issues.
- perform data analysis of client’s reporting systems.
- participate in business requirement sessions and document requirements, for each project and/or change request.
- design ETL process based on the business requirements.
- Develop ETL process and unit test.
- design and develop ETL process using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- prepare test data to validate all scenarios, including invalid data scenarios.
- develop test cases and test scripts, and execute and support UAT activities as needed.
- Perform detailed requirements analysis for submitted change requests (CRs).
- Identify and maintain subject areas and conceptual entities
- Design and develop Data Flow Diagram and process diagram
- Develop logical and physical data models
- Develop database DDL scripts
- Perform data profiling
- Develop a process to perform data quality checks
- Manage and maintain metadata, including data transformation
- develop and document data exchange framework for internal and external data
Qualifications
- Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) required
- Oracle Database Engine required
- Oracle Analytic Server (OAS) and Data Visualization is preferred
- Oracle Analytics Publisher (aka BI Publisher) is preferred
- Microsoft Power BI is preferred
- Nice to have: knowledge of Salesforce/Hubspot
- Strong knowledge of Relational and Dimensional modeling techniques of Data warehouse (EDS/Data marts) concepts and principles (Kimball/Inman) - Star, Snowflake schema, Surrogate keys, and Normalization/Denormalization.
- Strong knowledge of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs) and their implementation (Type1, Type 2, and Type 3) to keep track of historical data
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as ODI, Informatica
- Bachelor’s degree
- 12 years of professional work experience
- This role is currently on-site but may become hybrid.
